Best time for a Tanzania safari
Wildlife is good all year, but the season changes what you see.
June – October (dry season)
The most popular months. Animals gather near water, grass is shorter and roads are easier. Migration herds are often in the northern Serengeti in the later months.
November – May (green season)
Fresh landscapes, fewer visitors and many newborn animals. Calving in the southern Serengeti usually happens early in the year. Expect some rain.
Because the migration moves through the year, tell us your dates and we will plan the best area for them.
